Historic Center & Getsemaní Neighborhood Free Tour

This tour is built around a contrast: the manicured Ciudad Amurallada, where colonial elites once lived behind walls and armed bastions, and Getsemaní, the working-class neighborhood just outside them that grew its own culture, music and political voice. Starting in Plaza de Santo Domingo, you'll walk the historic center's grand churches and colorful squares before crossing the old drawbridge line into Getsemaní.

On the Getsemaní side, the mood shifts — narrower streets, louder color, walls covered in murals that reference everything from Colombian folklore to the neighborhood's own 20th-century protests.
